Rachel Schuckle Obituary

Rachel (Menzella) Schuckle, 71, of Hackensack, NJ passed away on Wednesday February 25,2026. Born in Englewood and raised in Palisades Park, Rachel made Hackensack her home for the past 25 years, where she touched many lives with her warmth and generosity.

A true sports enthusiast, Rachel was a devout NY Giants and Yankee fan. Her love of the game went beyond cheering from the stands- she cherished her time working in the stadium’s kitchens preparing meals for the players, a role that brought her immense joy and pride.

Rachel was known for her passion for cooking, filling her home with delicious meals and laughter. Yet it was music that truly filled her soul. From a young age, she played the clarinet in the Palisades Park High School Band and spiritly served as the school’s mascot -Go Tigers!  Her home was always alive with the sound of George Benson, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and every genre in between. For Rachel music was not just love, but a celebration of life itself.

Rachel was renowned for her sense of humor and her boundless generosity; anyone lucky enough to know her became part of her extended family. But above all, Family was always at the heart of everything she did. Spending time with loved ones was her greatest joy and priority, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and kindness.

Rachel was the finest of humanity, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she enriched.

Beloved wife of the late John Schuckle. Dear sister of Louise Florio and her husband Michael and Dennis Menzella. Cherished aunt of Michael Joseph Florio and his wife Miriam and Melissa Florio DiRienzo and her husband Joseph. Dear great Aunt of Mary Louise and Michael James DiRienzo, and Michael Joseph Jr. and Nicholas William Florio.
